10 things I’d tell myself 10 years ago when I started my business. 

1. You can’t do everything yourself. You’ll find talented people to work with along the way. Trying to wear every hat just isn’t possible.

2. After the first few years, you’ll learn how to say no. Not every opportunity is right for you.

3. It’s easier to sell jumpers in November than it is in July!

4. You’re about to meet lots of amazing women in business and they will become some of your best friends.

5. Everyone will ask if ‘ Tom’ is around.

6. You have the most patient man by your side who you’ll marry, and he supports every crazy idea that you come up with.

…and everyone will call him Tom!

7. Running your business whilst growing your family will be tough at times – but you’ll manage it.

8. Retail events are really hard work! But the best way to get the brand out there.

9. Manufacturing everything in Britain is going to be a challenge – but stick with it, your customers really appreciate it.

10. You’ll make mistakes – big ones and small ones. Deal with them, learn from them & don’t live with regret.
